Tree of Life

Looking for more out of your childbirth preparation classes?

Looking for information on how to achieve a more gentle birth and proactive approach?

Tree of Life offers in depth, quality childbirth education classes for families choosing homebirths, birth center births and hospital births as well as breastfeeding counseling services with an attachment parenting focus. Classes are taught from a midwife's perspective and cover more information and discussion of options than what is typically discussed in traditional hospital-based classes.

Philosophy

I believe strongly in the midwifery model of care that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes that are not inherently dangerous.

I believe in a woman's ability to give birth without interventions. I believe that women grow babies the perfect size for them to birth and that babies have an innate wisdom to help them navigate through labor and birth.

I believe in a family's right to be fully informed with all interventions and options and that it is important to weigh the pros and the cons of each intervention no matter how small the risk.
